Student Scholarships

The Vermont Pharmacists Association Student Scholarship was established to support students pursuing careers in the field of pharmacy in the State of Vermont.


Scholarships are awarded annually and presented at the Spring Continuing Education Event. Students are selected by the VPA Board using the criteria listed here


Scholarship applicants must be enrolled in an accredited school or college of pharmacy. They must be in their final year of pharmacy school. Students must be residents of Vermont and planning to practice in the State of Vermont upon graduation.

2024 Student Scholarship Recipient: Juliette Beatty


Congratulations to our 2024 Student Scholarship recipient - Juliette Beatty! Juliette is a pharmacy student at Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Albany, NY. Juliette's nominator wrote, "Juliette is a generous and compassionate intellectual who will surely contribute in a deeply meaningful way to her peers, profession and, ultimately, her community in Vermont. I have indeed been treated to a rich and invigorating personality. It has been a rare pleasure." Congratulations, Juliette!

2023 Student Scholarship Recipient: Kirsten Werner


Congratulations to our 2023 Student Scholarship recipient - Kirsten Werner! Kirsten graduated with her Bachelor's degree from St. Lawrence University and is a pharmacy student at the University of Connecticut. Congratulations, Kirsten!

2022 Student Scholarship Recipient: Kristen Hildebrand


Congratulations to our 2022 Student Scholarship recipient - Kristen Hildebrand! Kristen currently serves as our VPA Student Chapter President and is a student at Albany College of Pharmacy in Colchester. Congratulations, Kristen!

2021 Student Scholarship Recipient: Anuli Okoye-Oyibo


We were able to honor an amazing student, Anuli Okoye-Oyibo, the recipient of our 2021 VPA Student Scholarship. Anuli has led the VPA student chapter at Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Colchester, VT and has organized social events, calls to pharmacist to ask about their needs during COVID, community work, and notably helped with our annual Legislative Day in Montpelier. Pictured is Anuli talking to pharmacists and legislators as she advocated for pharmacists at this event. Thank you Anuli - you are a shining star and wonderful representation of our profession!
